Time Flies when you are having fun! Isn’t that the truth?
My crafty friends are all in agreement. If you make gifts for your family and friends or for craft shows, you know that your time is limited and that you need to work ahead of the average “holiday schedule”. There is no way that starting in September or October is going to help you. The time to start is right now!
It is only a short 5 months till the panic sets in and people are running around wondering where the time went. Don’t be part of that craziness. You want to be able to sit back and relax and really enjoy the season when it’s here. The only way to do this successfully is to get on top of the things that need to be made well in advance. Everyone knows that I love paper crafts so I will take my own advice because I know that You will thank me in December! I know I will be thankful that I started early!
July is a HOT month for sales at Cricut! Many of the items you will need are all discounted for the Christmas in July sale, that runs from July 16th through to July 19th! Why wait till August and miss a great sale?

I haven’t worked with crafts in years. I do love seeing the work of others.
I wish they had these tools when I first started crafting. I’m amazed at what can be made and how professional it turns out. Everything is so precise and you can create your own ideas and designs. Thanks for your comments Sandy!
Time does fly. I’m not a crafter, but affiliate sellers also need to stay about six months ahead of the targeted selling season.
That is so true Barbara. In this case though, if you don’t have the tools of the trade, you will not be crafting much at all for the Christmas season.
I am aware that this is the best time to do crafts for Christmas…but I can bring myself to crochet in the summer. I sure wish I could! Anyway, I’ve never heard of an electronic cutting machine. Very interesting!
Hi Dawn Rae, you don’t crochet through the summer? I understand. You should see this machine, not only does it cut paper, but fabrics as well. It really is a hobby workhorse. Thanks for your visit….
I work on my crafts all year long, but you are right that the time to start crafting for the Christmas season is NOW.
Oh Pat, you know it’s true. The time goes by so fast, that if you don’t start early, you will be disappointed or rushing like crazy to get everything done in time. Then you don’t get to enjoy the holiday season. Instead of it being a joyful time, it’s a stressful time with deadlines everywhere. I prefer to get a heads up and start now. Thanks for commenting and visiting. If you want to get updates on all things Cricut, sign up for the newsletter and you’ll be one of the first to know…
We had our craft fair here back in the spring and I saw several banners that I thought were beautiful and very professional. They really do make a big difference in the overall appearance and draw of a craft booth. This is a very, very cool machine. I would love to have one myself. There have certainly been years in the past when they would have made a world of difference to me.
Cynthia, I know how you feel, I’m lucky, my best friend has one and I get to borrow hers. I repay by buying a new cartridge when they are on sale. She and I get together sometimes and work on a joint project for our church or community. They are wonderful and if you do crafting for profit and fun, they really are an investment in the professionalism of your crafts. Sign up for the newsletter and I’ll keep you informed for the next time that the Cricut’s go on sale….
It’s too hot outside anyway, so July is a great time to start crafting inside where it’s cool!
Isn’t that the truth Susan. Getting that head start makes all the difference too. Stay cool and craft on!
