One of a kind Christmas Crafts are always a hit with family and friends.
Anyone who has an itch to create something wonderful knows that it takes not only skill but also a great eye for creating something beautiful. With Christmas bearing down on us quickly, there is help for those who want to create a memory that will last a long, long time. Needlecraft kits come with everything you need to create a beautiful tree skirt, ornament or stocking.
Handmade is a wonderful way to express your creativity and your love for whoever will receive your gifts. A lot of thought and a lot of work goes into the making of these special one of a kind gifts and crafts. The family will feel truly blessed with a stocking that your hands have created just for them. Tree skirts will be a delightful addition to the family holidays. Just wait till everyone sees what your hands have created.
Inspiration is just a click away!
Tree skirts are a wonderful way to make your Christmas tree look wonderful even when all the gifts have been given out. Whether you buy a ready-made tree skirt or make one with your own two hands, the time to find the perfect one is now! Can you just see one of these beautiful skirts gracing the base of the tree? If you have time, you can make your own with one of these kits. The finished project, with each stitch placed lovingly by you, will be a one of a kind. These tree skirts will become a family heirloom, gaining beauty with the years that pass by.
If you don’t feel there is enough time to make a tree skirt, then invest in a pattern that will allow you to make some beautiful stockings, wreaths, and ornaments. Add your own personal touch by picking out the perfect fabrics to make your ornaments stand out. Each one will be unique! They will be cherished by the recipients for sure. There are many patterns available, some are easy and others are much more intricate. Pick the one that suits your talents and get working on that special addition to the Christmas collection.
Get the children involved too!
Crafting items for Christmas is so much fun with little hands involved as well. You can make ornaments for your tree and pick a “style” with everyone making their own ornament to follow the set mood. Angels or Snowmen, Santas or Stars, or a combination of hand-made ornaments will make your Christmas Tree a stand out for sure. The beauty about crafting with your children is that it allows them a creative outlet for their ideas.
Working with your hands is a wonderful pastime!
Working with their hands is also a skill that will help them throughout their lives. You may just find that you have a wonderfully, creative and talented child right under your roof. Give them the tools to try something new and see what they can create. Paper crafts, sewing crafts, felt and glitter will keep your children engaged and having a ball. It’s a great time to spend time with your children in a relaxed and creative way.

I always loved to draw, paint and color. I even did paint by number paintings.

There is something about getting your hands busy making something that just makes all the prep for Christmas that much more fun. It could be baking or papercrafts, you name it, when it’s around the house, you feel really good.

Love needlecrafts, they’re so pretty and love doing them. Trying to get my granddaughter interested in doing them with me. Thank you for partying with us at #BloggingGrandmothers #LinkParty #4. We’ve shared your post on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter.

I am all about getting the grandkids involved as much as possible. Wonderful books and ideas for a homemade Christmas. Thanks for linking up with Blogging Grandmothers.

Me too Candy, children involvement is essential. It’s that much more fun when you are laughing and making memories.

I’ve created handmade gifts for years and agree there is nothing more personal than a one-of-a-kind gift you made yourself. I’ve made two tree skirts over the years — one my youngest son has now. At the moment I’m crocheting some Ninja Turtles for my smallest grandsons (at the request of the 7-year-old). Love crafting!

Oh my Miss Elf, you have been a busy person. I would love to see pictures. Isn’t it great when our children appreciate and use the gifts we have made for them. I love crafting too, it just seems there are not enough hours in the day sometimes.

I do love crafting! I keep thinking I am going to take a few weeks off and make a few of the things that have been patiently waiting for me. Both my mother and my grandmother have made things that I cherish now. There is truly nothing that compares to a handmade gift.
Grammie Olivia says
Have you ever made a great statement there Miss Cynthia! There is truly nothing that compares to a handmade gift! I so heartily agree. Those are the gifts that you run your hands over and feel the love that was poured into the making.

I really miss having time to be crafty. I’m not very good at it… but I could crochet. And taught kids to crochet. I miss it.

It’s never too late to start again Dawn Rae. It’s like riding a bike, you just need to get back on! Sometimes though our craftiness needs a rest too!

I love doing crafts with the kids, even as they get older! Excited to do some over the holidays. Thanks!

Oh, I hope you have some really good fun with your kids. Crafting is a way to not only make things together but to laugh and encourage each other as we are working away on our projects.
Susan says
I used to be crafty, always had multiple projects going, especially around Christmas time. Once my kids left home, my inspiration went with them. Another reason I’m really looking forward to the new grandchildren. Of course I’ll teach them to craft and we’ll do all sorts of fun project together, especially around Christmas.
Grammie Olivia says
So happy to hear this Susan. I understand where you are coming from too. When my kids left the whole fun of crafting seemed to leave as well. Just wait till the little ones start making things with you. It will be even better than when you did it with your own children…..The grands have a way of looking at you like, ” Wow Gramma, you are so smart!”
