Lego Elves Playsets are just so much fun. Lauren (my granddaughter) has these sets and I was so pleased to play with her and with them.
Each playset is different and each one is absolutely beautiful. The dragons are just incredible! Not only do they take some time to put together, but they are so nice when completed.
The Dragon Sanctuary Play Set includes a Dragon (purple in color). The set contains 585 pieces. The Dragon has articulated arms, legs, wings and head. That means that the dragon can be moved to make it look like it’s flying or resting. He can sit and his tail also bends. His head and arms and legs move too. These dragons are beautiful in their details. Each one is different and each set has it’s own “special” items. The Dragon Sanctuary has a Wind Dragon called “Gust”. Along with Rayne (a baby dragon) and two mini-figures (Aria and Tidus), you will have a fun time building and then imagining all the stories that go along with rescuing baby dragon eggs and being on the water.

The Queen Dragon’s Rescue Building is a larger set that includes a 2 story castle with a working dungeon gate. The set included 833 pieces. There are two mini-figures and Elandra the Queen Dragon. She’s a beautiful white dragon who has beautiful markings on her wings and gold accents all along her body. She is, after all, a queen. What little girl wouldn’t have the best time putting her together? I also love that these Lego Elf Sets come with detailed booklets on how to make all these creatures. They are so well done, that your children can follow the instructions without too much help required from you. Not only are the sets beautiful, but the children have a real sense of accomplishment when they are able to build it themselves.
The Lego Elves Water Dragon Adventure is a set that has 212 pieces. This dragon is called Merina and she is lovely in shades of blue and purple. There are many little items here for scavenger hunts or just to play with as they are. Hiding places make these sets fun, because you never know if there is something inside the hiding spots or not.
All of the sets that I have introduced you to here come with a full-color booklet that walks you through the steps of creating the Play Set. Each set also counts out the blocks for you so that you know right away that there aren’t any pieces missing. Lego is very good at making the building process with their blocks a rewarding experience for children of all ages.
There are two things that all children cannot have enough of and that in my opinion is Books to Read and Lego to build with.
